Acknowledgement First of all, thanks to Allah s.w.t because I am able to complete my assignment even though had faced with lots of difficulties in order to complete this task. Besides, thousands of thanks to Dr. Irni Eliana Binti Khairuddin for all her support and guidance in helping me to finish my assignment that really tested my abilities mentally and physically. Furthermore, without her guide, this assignment cannot be done properly as what I have been prepared. About National Science Centre In conjunction with the government’s initiative to produce a contributing generation to the field of science and technology, the National Science Centre has been given a mandate to build a scientific place for the society. The proposal to form the National Science Centre arises from one of the strategic challenges that have been listed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in a paperwork that entitled Malaysia- The Way Forward established in 1992 which reads : “The sixth of the challenge of establishing a scientific and progressive society, a society that is innovative and forward looking, one that is not only a consumer of technology but also a contributor to the scientific and technological civilization of the future” . The National Science Centre was opened by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on 29 November 1996. It is located at Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. It is known as an institution of informal learning and was entrusted with a mandate to enhance

the knowledge of

the Malaysian citizens by promoting awareness, interest and understanding of science and technology. The overall concept of the centre is to link science with the environment and religion, as well as to relate the nature of science with all aspects in life, knowledge and application in life. The National Science Centre can be accessed at its website : http://www.psn.gov.my .

Findings This website provides accurate information and all the related contents are properly labeled and organized. The website’s design and aesthetics somewhat are fine but the layout and graphics can be improved more. There is no audio presents in the website. Other than that, the disclosure of authors, sponsors and developers are not clearly stated. The information that have being provided in this website are updated and useful for the visitors. Therefore, the authority of source is excellent because the information providers are reliable. This website also is organized in a logical manner and the movement between pages and links is not complicated.

In terms of accessibility and availability are somewhat just fine. The links provided are labeled but somewhat the texts used are quite small and the visitors may not aware of the links.The sources of attribution and documentation are reliable and current along with interesting gallery. The language used are Malay and English and they are appropriate for the intended audience. Last but not least, the site also provides an accessible contact addresses and user support. Conclusion Overall, the website of National Science Centre has an excellent and reliable contents that are provided for the visitors. However, the graphics and layouts can be improved more to attract the visitors to view the site. The information in the site are current and reliable. The navigation in the site are somewhat fine and not complicated. All of other items in the site are accessible and easy to use.
