Description

1. "Peeking over the Smokies, greeting the faces" In this line, the word I would change is peeking to the word glancing. The reason I would change that word is that I feel like it gives the reader a better understanding. It lets you feel the emotion of the reader better also. "that loves you back, sometimes praising a mother” The word that I would change is praising to the word honor. The reason why is because I feel as the word is more appropriate and fits perfectly with the line. It also sets the tone of how she should be treated and honored in the relationship. "My face, your face, millions of faces in morning's mirrors, each one yawning to life, crescendoing into our day" I would change crescendoing to the word uplift. So it can be a little more clearer and understandable to the reader. “We head home, through the gloss of rain or weight of snow.” I would change the word through to the word amidst. I believe It gives it a clearer and better expression. “One sky, towards which we sometimes lift our eyes.” I would change the word lift to the word elevate. The reason why is because it is a better word and would be more understandable to the reader. 2.
