Objective: Determining fault in series, parallel and series-parallel circuit. Material: Procedure: At first the given series parallel circuit in figure 9.3 is built then the resistance of point ab, ac, ag, ah, gh, bh have been measured and calculated with no fault. Result is written in the table 9.1. Then a short is connected from point B to C and resistance and again resistance of those points have been measured using the multimeter and also calculated. And written in the table 9.2. Then the short is removed and the circuit between b and e is opened. In same way resistance of those branch is measured, calculated and written in table 9.3. Then the open circuit is removed and a short is connected from a to g. Resistance of those points have been measured and calculated. Then a short between b and c is connected. Now there is two fault. Again resistance of ab, ac, ag, gh, ah, bh have been measured and calculated. Schematic: Table 1 No fault
