Co-op Program Overview
Co-op is the premier form of work-integrated learning available to post-secondary students in Canada. It is a pedagogical approach where students learn from the integration of experiences in educational and workplace settings (Billett, 2009). The key outcome of co-op education is the learning that takes place both in-class, and at work. The usual format is for students to alternate study terms with paid, four-month work terms.
