What Is Bank? 

A bank is a financial institution that accepts deposits from the public and creates a demand deposit while simultaneously making loans. Lending activities can be directly performed by the bank or indirectly through capital markets.



There are several different kinds of banks including retail banks, commercial or corporate banks, and investment banks. In most countries, banks are regulated by the national government or central bank.



The bank operated 475 conventional banking branches, including 18 sub-branches, 10 overseas branches, 153 Islamic banking branches, and an offshore banking unit. As of 2016, the bank's total assets amounted to US$8.29 billion and net profit reached US$71.42 million

Features Of HBL HBL is the Pakistan’s largest bank. First commercial bank to be established in Pakistan in 1947
