Lambeau Field was born in 1957 in Green Bay, Wisconsin in its first year former president Richard Nixon in attendance at the unveiling. The facility could a house up to 32,150 people it was one of the prize possessions of Green Bay. Recently there has been an uproar with

one of the latest upgrades to the stadium setting at a hefty cost of $145 million. With the addition of 7,000 seats and 30 new concession stands and removed roughly 3,800 names from it season ticket waiting list. Currently Lambeau Stadium is the third largest stadium but only by capacity surpassing Jerry Jones’ $1.3 billion-dollar AT&T Stadium. Adding to the newly upgraded arena a sound system was added, HD boards, and rooftop viewing system. I stated all those add ons but most importantly it created 2000 jobs with 92% of the work being local. A construction company named Miron Construction took the lead as the contracting company and John Murphy stated that “This organization is very deep-rooted in history and tradition and community, and it’s something that everybody’s concerned about,” John Murphy was native to Wisconsin and grew up being a fan of the packers and participating in the renovation of the Lambeau stadium would be an honor. The Packers facility has gone through many changes throughout the years regarding the facility. Like for example in 1970 the Packers added an additional 5,411 seats to fully enclose the stadium. Years later between 2001 and 2003 they increased the capacity by 12,032 seats. This was able to happen by the Brown County Sales tax. The final cost for this level of renovation was $295 million. From 2011 to 2015 they added on a Packers Pro Shop, a larger entrance gate and a new location for the Packers Hall of Fame. In all I feel that as years go by some buildings that have a historic meaning behind it should improve and develop with times in order to last in these days without deteriorating.
