Description

Case brief: Adams v Lindsell [1818] a) Facts (name of the case and its parties, what happened factually and procedurally, and the judgment) The defendants sent a letter to the plaintiffs offering to sell their wool to them. The letter was misdirected and delayed and therefore took longer to reach the plaintiffs than expected. The plaintiffs then received the letter and wrote back to the defendant’s to say that they accepted their offer but by the time the defendant’s received the acceptance they had already sold their wool to another manufacturer.
