Among the Hidden Chapter Summary By: Emma Hinn Chapter 27: Later that day our main character Luke went to Jens house to see if she was okay. When he got there nobody was home. So he went on the computer and accessed the chat. Nobody answered his message then he found out that Jen had passed away. He was very sad, angry and hurt. He kept thinking if he would have went with her to the rally nothing would have happened because Luke would have protected her.

It was very sad that she died for standing up for herself and all other shadow kids. Jens dad works for the population police. But he let Luke go because that is what Jen would have wanted him to do. Now Luke has nothing to do no one to talk to no one that understands him and now he blames himself for what happened to the other shadow kids and Jen. She was Luke’s best friend and now he lost her.

Luke and Jens dad kept talking about Jen. Luke would have never thought about a population police having a shadow kid. Now there depressed about passage of Jen.

Among the Hidden Chapter Summary By: Emma Hinn Luke has been shadow kid his whole life. He has been living in the attic and his dad has been working in the backyard in the farm. In the winter Luke’s dad wanted to grow something inside the house but the government forbids him from growing anything. Now that he can’t do much he will be paying a lot more attention on Luke. That means Luke can’t go to Jens house anymore he is very mad and sad about that. Jen is another shadow kid. A shadow kid is a third child and Luke and jen are both good friends and shadow kids.

Jens family’s rich unlike Luke’s family. His family is poor so his mom had to start working so they can afford the house they are living in. Our main character thinks his parents wouldn’t have to work if Luke was not born. A voice in Luke’s head keeps repeating, “Maybe if they didn’t have me they can afford what they want”. He thinks his parents don’t want him.

Now that Luke can’t go to Jen’s anymore and he is sad he can’t see Jen. He is also stressed about how he thinks his parents don’t want him and how their broke....
