Anatomy of a Fire Scene As noted from the video, fire has a great impact on the surrounding area. A typical fire scene constitutes four fire engines, a ladder truck, two command vehicles, and a local ambulance company also sends a unit just in case someone gets injured. Fireground activities commence with the first arriving engine which gives a size-up for all arriving personnel, connections to the hydrants are made and the fire attack horse line is pulled to the structure.
