Executive summary This is a Company accounting report that provides an analysis of the annual report of JB HIFI. This is one of Australia’s trusted corporations since it comes to delivering the best brands of technology. Through a vast range of new store openings and the recent acquisition of “the good guys” on the 28th November 2016, the financial position of JB HIFI has changed drastically. This has allowed the company make profits, sell more share and an increase their total assets from 6/2016 to 6/2017. In this report will analysis the company’s equity, share price, debt structure, income tax figure, fixed assets categories and intangible assets from 6/2016 to 6/2017. And consider issues that affect the ordinary share prices to change. Also Issues relating to impairment of assets and other various issues that causes the position of the financial position of JB HIFI to change…. 1. Nature of JB HIFI’s activities.

Tablets, TVs, cameras, HI-FI, speakers, car sound, home theatre, portable audio and stack more. This has enable JB HIFI to expend and attract the desire of many investors and customers. 2. Composition of JB HIFI’s equity Equity is explained as the firm’s total asset as compared to its total liability that would provide clear picture of their financial performance. There are 3 accounts that make the company’s equity namely contributed equity, reserves and retained earnings. The equity section of financial report has shown relatively increase in equity amount of current accounting period as compared to previous accounting period, amount 404,702,000 to 853,500, 000. This is largely contributed due to the increase of the retained earnings figure amount from 328,300,000 in 2016 accounting

period to 381,600,000 in 2017. Moreover, ordinary shares issued are classified as equity and are fully paid, have no par value and carry one vote per share and the right to dividends. JB HIFI also uses 3 types of reserves namely equity-settled benefits, common control reserves, hedging reserves, foreign currency translation reserves....
