2 Introduction

The publications found in the Armenian newspapers are done in Armenia and in the diaspora of Armenia where there is large concertation of Armenians. Most of the time the publications of the Armenian newspapers are done in Armenian large. However, the same publications have sections which are written in the national language of the country.

Development of ethnic identity is

majored on formation of an identity in self-categorization of an individual and attachment in terms of psychology to a certain ethnic group. It is recognized from the development of identities of ethnic group. This paper aims to discuss how relevant it is to read Armenian newspaper as far as preserving the ethnic identity is concerned. Discussion The newspapers that came from Armenian have led to the expansion of publications that are in English-language and also meant to address the increasing rate of growth in population of people that are speaking in English in America. Some of the Armenian newspapers serve to diversify the linguistic in a particular community. Moreover, some of these newspapers are meant to give a concerning expression foe the language that has been left behind. It is through the use of Armenian language that things like preserving the literature of Armenians, their cultural practices and also determining the identity is held. Armenian newspapers are still meant for the fulfillment of their usual purpose which is connecting different communities.
