Benchmark: Victimology of Mary Jackson Introduction This case concerns my longtime family friend Ms. Mary Jackson. Ms. Mary Jackson was 74 years of age. She lived in Corbin Kentucky. I have known this woman for 15 plus years. She was a well-known woman everyone loved her. Unfortunately, she was murdered along with her grandchild Tiffany Bryer and her husband and their unborn child. This is a very sad and heart-breaking case. Ms. Mary Jackson was a great friend of late grandmother. My father knew this lady ever since he was about 2 years old. The main reason they were murder is all because Tiffany’s husband owned the man money. In this paper I will be talking the case, as well as Describing the specific victimology theories that fit the scenario of the person chosen, a Describing what protections and/or legal resources were available for the victim. I will also be Discussing the conditions that might have existed, or environmental factors, that led to the person chosen to be a victim. I will also be talking about the resources the victim is using or has used. If he or she did not use a specific resource for victims, what would you recommend for the victim?

As the result, Bowling noted, “This particular case was psychologically exhausting and tragic for 2 sets of relatives destroyed by cruel acts of the Offender.” The corpse of Myers’ spouse, Aaron Byers, 45, was discovered the next day in the shallow grave at a forested area at a distance from the Corinth Cemetery Road. That is when Brock was indicted for one more count of homicide and falsifying physical proof. Brock was set to be convicted Wednesday morning Oct 12, 2021 however, he has withdrawn his confession. So, the trail will be next year march of next year 2022 (WKYT New Oct 12, 2021). When Tiffany’s brother Justin Collins (JP is what we all called him) heard the gun shot, he had jumped out of his bedroom window and ran next door to call the police. He was the only one who wasn’t murdered. Paul Brock is just a cold-blooded murderer which does not belong in society. He belongs in prison. Victimology Theories The victimology theories of Mary Jackson, Tiffany Myer and her husband Aaron Myer’s and their unborn their child. Would have to be the lifestyle theory or the Precipitation Theory. For the precipitation theory this type of outward precipitation may also be present if the victim did not even know of the continued existence of the invader. However, I strongly believe that it would have to be the lifestyle theory is because it has been said that Paul Brock killed them all because of money and drugs. Not sure if that is case or not, since there is no proof of as to why the families was murdered.

Benchmark: Victimology of Mary Jackson What protections and/or legal resources were available for the victim. When it comes to the protection and or legal resources that was available for the victims. There was any at time because Paul Brock was known by the family. If they knew that Paul Brock was going to kill them, they could have a protection order again him. The conditions that may have existed, or environmental factors, that led to the person chosen becoming a victim. When it comes to the condition that existed or the environmental factors that led Mary Jackson, Tiffany Myers, and her husband Aaron Myers and their unborn child was due to a drug debit. Because Aaron Myers owned Paul Brock money for drugs. That came from Tiffany’s mom. Describe what resources the victim is using or has used. If he or she did not use a specific resource for victims, what would you recommend for the victim? If Paul Brock wouldn’t have killed Mary Jackson, Tiffany Myer and her Husband there could have been several resources that could have been used. One of the resources that could have been used is to get a protection order. But since they were all murdered by Paul Brock there wasn’t any type of resources that could have been used. Conclusion In conclusion of this murder case it was kind of hard to answer some of the type topics that was asked. So, I done the best that I could. Mary Jackson and her granddaughter Tiffany Myer’s and her husband and unborn child was murder by Paul Brock due to a drug debit that Aaron Myer’s owned which was Tiffany’s husband. Paul Brock pled guilty to the September to homicides of three individuals and an unborn child in 2018.
