Benefits of Painting Artwork as a Hobby Throughout one's lifetime, everyone develops a hobby. A hobby can be explained as a regular activity done for enjoyment during leisure time. Examples of hobbies include artistic activities such as painting or graphic design, volunteering for community service, cooking, and baking, exercising and keeping fit, playing a musical instrument, team sports, or individual sports, among many others. Hobbies are important because they help the body and the mind relax; thus, they promote mental health. This paper will discuss painting original artwork as the focus hobby and the benefits of engaging in painting artwork as a hobby. Painting artwork similar to other hobbies intervenes when one is overwhelmed by work or school. We are often faced with a lot of pressure from work or school work, and therefore our bodies and minds need to relax from all the pressure; when painting a piece of art, the mind is required to focus on the idea and the progress, therefore, releasing all the thoughts about work or school hat have raised throughout the day. In painting, the individual can lower his or her anxiety levels, stress levels which, if not well managed, will lead to depression which is a fatal condition (Nadorff,2020). Football, therefore, promotes mental health. Engaging in painting as a hobby also helps one form an outside life out of work or school's formal and official life. When playing football, the individual can be in a different world. In contrast, relaxed and doing something he or she enjoys, unlike in the formal world of work or school, where rules govern one. You are expected to complete tasks on time and according to the given instructions by the ones in charge, for instance, the manager or the teachers (Daily 2018). While painting, the individual is not following any rules. It's just him or her and the flow of ideas.

Another benefit of engaging in painting as a hobby is that it promotes and increases interactions with people and the value you can bring to each other (Daily 2018). A hobby can be more enjoyable when it is done together; for instance, an artist in our case can join an art club where people meet, sit and paint, after which they explain their artworks to each other; this kind of interactions open up one’s mind to new ideas and at the same time help promote personal relationships which at the end reflect at work or school since one will be happy at the end of such activities thus higher performance. Lastly on the benefit of engaging in painting is that when attending art clubs or painting exhibitions, one can interact with different people from different places and people with different knowledge; when interacting with such people, one can gain knowledge on things that might help in real-life situations out of the hobby(Daily 2018). for instance, during a session in the art club, one is corrected and taught new creative methods; such creativity tactics are applicable in work situations where innovations are also required when one is corrected, you can accept that no one is perfect and that everyone stands corrected this will help to develop your personality at work or at school where you will be seen as an employee or a student who admits his or her mistakes and corrects them. In conclusion, it is important to have a hobby since it is important in all aspect6s of life, from keeping one mentally healthy, to help one interact with the outside world, to help one to gain knowledge that might be applicable in other aspects of one’s daily life, all of these benefits have been portrayed by painting artwork as a hobby.
