Hello everyone, my name is Kimberly Guajardo, and I was born and raised in a small town in South Texas. I am 24 years young and a mother of a handsome boy and a beautiful baby girl. Their names are Jorge Easton and Everly Rose, and my love for them is endless. I started my college career back in 2016 right after I graduated high school. I took a few classes in a community college in my hometown and worked for the school district as a substitute teacher for two years. During this time, I got married and had my first baby boy, as a fist time parent it was very hard to be a mom and a college student at the same time. So sadly, I had to give up my education to attend to my newborn at that time. Years later now a mom of two, I was convinced by my mother and sister to take a shot at college again not for me but for my kids and my future. GCU is the perfect school for me as a mom its affordable and the time is flexible to finally finish out my college career. My Mother is my biggest inspiration she is currently a reading intervention teacher and she is the reason why I choose my degree path. My biggest goal I have set for myself is to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
