Group Project Build a Biome Diorama Project: Each group will select one biome from the following:

Temperate deciduous forest

Taiga

Tundra

Grassland

Dessert

Chaparral

Tropical rainforest

Biome Instructions: • The area of your project should be the size of a 1/8 cardbard • Appropriate label of elements of your biome should include: o At least 4 animal species found in your selected biome (predator and prey) o At least 4 plant, alga or fungal species found in your selected biome o Approximate longitude and latitude of your biome o Type of soil found in the biome. o Arrows showing the relationship of biotic and abiotic factors. • The biome should be realistically represented with with geographical features such as mountains, streams, rivers, etc. One-page Essay: • A-4 Size • Arial 11 • At least 400 words. • Should contain the following: o An accurate description of your biome; include what the seasons are like o Abiotic and biotic relationships in ecosystem/s in your biome. o How does your animal and plant specie adapt in your biome? A presentation will be done by the group to explain their biome to a group of panelists
