I. Objectives At the end of the 60-minute session, the students will be able to: a. Identify the key elements of the school as a social system b. Explain the significance of the key elements of school as a social system c. Conduct a group discussion about the role of each elements in school II. Subject Matter Learning Competency: Express Ideas, Opinions, Feelings and Emotion during Interviews, Group/Panel Discussion, and Forums/For A, Debates Etc.: Oral Language and Fluency. Topic: Key Elements of School as a Social System Materials: PPT and GCR, Word Wall Reference: PED 10 Course Pack Value (s): Pro - active III. Procedure A. Preparatory Activities 1. Classroom Routine  Prayer  Greetings  Attendance 2. Motivation WHAT AM I? The teacher will allow the students to guess the word/s using the picture given.

B. Lesson Proper 1. Activity Asso – say it! The teacher will allow the students to give at least 3 words that they think is associated with the “School” and “Element”. They have to say it aloud. 2. Analysis. The teacher will ask the following questions: 1. What do you think could be the association of those words in today’s topic? 2. What do you think could be the role of each element in school? 3. As a future teacher, are you affected by these key elements? How? 3. Abstraction. The teacher will discuss the following concepts. All social systems have some activities and functions that are accomplished in a fairly stable fashion. For example, if we conceived of society itself a social system, then the routine and imperative functions of educating, protecting, and governing are performed by educational, legal and governmental institutions. According to the social system model for schools, organizational performance is determined by key internal elements such as structure, the individual, culture, politics, technical core, environment, outcomes and feedback....
