Each app supports a business function. For instance, the CloseCall app and FlightReact app both support the function sales and marketing because they help promote and sell the organization’s services. The MyWork app, iTranslate, and iBeacon app support the function of manufacturing and production because they help deliver services. The Sentinel app, Shyft, and iLoadDirect app support human resources because they help maintain the organization’s labour force. These apps used via iPhone help improve operational efficiency, communication and decision making as it allows workers to schedule tasks, perform numerous activities with the flick of a finger, and inform workers and higher officials of all activities within the company. 2) The company mentioned in this case study has solved many of their problems by introducing productivity applications in the workplace. These applications allow workers to communicate with customers in a more informative manner, relay critical information from one department to another quickly and efficiently and verify and monitor employees’ skills and performance. Most importantly, all of these applications allow employees to work more efficiently and help deliver a much better experience for their customers. 3) In the modern world today, many businesses would benefit from equipping their employees with mobile digital devices. For example, shipping companies such as UPS, or FedEx can benefit from using devices such as an iPhone or tablet as it’ll allow them to track each parcel. Also, it can inform drivers about which is the best route to follow to deliver all packages. Another type of business that would benefit from this is retail. The use of the mobile digital device such as iPhones and iPhones/tablets can reduce the amount of paperwork, relay information from managers to employees quickly and efficiently, and easily track employees’ performance and attendance. 4) One company deploying iPhones has stated, “The iPhone is not a game-changer, it’s an industry changer.
