C.A.R.S. CHECKLIST FOR EVALUATING SOURCES Resource Title and Author: CREDIBILITY – How do you know the information and author are authentic and reliable?  What is the publishing or sponsoring organization?  What are the author’s credentials?

No, it did not contradict itself

 How is the information relevant to your research needs?

They provide me whit all the necessary information

REASONABLENESS – How do you know the information is fair, objective, moderate, and consistent?  What bias does the author, host or sponsor appear to have?

There are no bias mentioned the article because the author did not put personal information in the article.

 In what way is the information provided balanced?

The information provide balance in capturing the reader attention in focused on the information at hand.

SUPPORT – How reliable, accurate, reasonable and well-supported are the sources for your resource?  How many sources support the resource? Can you find them easily?

There were four sources, and it was a little are to find.

 Pick one source and evaluate it with the CARS list. How credible, accurate, reasonable, and well-supported does it seem?

The source that I pick was missing credibility and was not that good of a trustworthy source in the CARS list after that it as accurate, reasonable and well-supported concept.

Additional factors to consider: DESIGN & STYLE  Is the page layout visually pleasing?

Yes, the page layout was good, and the information was well organized for reader.

 How do the images enhance the message?

There image was well balance with the information provided.

 Is the language readable and understandable?

Yes, and every paragraphed have a reference to make it easier on reader.

 Are the grammar and spelling correct?

Yes, all the spelling and grammar are correct.

ELECTRONIC SOURCES  What is the purpose of the site? Is it clearly stated?

Everyone can go to the site for reached purpose or information regarding what is happening in the world

 When was the site last updated?  Who is the intended audience of the site?

There are no age restriction and the site is addressing to all type of audience.

 Are links provided to more information? What percentage of the links still work?

Yes, it provides me with all the information needed in also reference for more reached.
