Critical Care (Shock) Test Plan How to use this plan:  “Item #” is the number for the question on the exam “Comp & Syllabus Obj” identifies what competency and objective in the competency. This should help you know what information the question comes from.  “Cog Level” identifies what cognitive level is used for the question. A knowledge level is the easiest type question and an Evaluation level is the hardest type question. By 3rd semester most questions will be at the application level or higher: K=knowledge, C=Comprehension, A=Application, Ana=Analysis, S=Synthesis, E=Evaluation  “Client Needs” identifies what type of question it pertains to that matches up with NCLEX concepts: 1. Safe effective care environment a. Management of care b. Safety & infection control 2. Health Promotion and Maintenance 3. Psychosocial Integrity 4. Physiologic Integrity a. Basic Care & Comfort b.
