Explain the concept of broken windows policing, why might it be successful? Broken window policing is "A term used to describe the role of the police as maintainers of community order and saftey". The broken window policing theory assumes neighborhoods can be improved if police officers keep in contact with the community in a non-crime fighting way. (112). In practice this method has shown success and brilliance in statistics.
