Description

Coldplay is a british rock band. The band was formed in London in 1996. They became very popular in the early twenty-first century, with appreciation from their mediolic piano which drove popularity. ColdPlay 2020 concert was held at a tour. Coldplay also performed Estadio Stadium in november 2017. The group split onto the music scene with their debut album called: Parachutes which was released in the 2000s. The album was filled with heartrending and passionate music which was very popular on both sides of the Atlantic ocean. This brought them two very vulnerable honors from Brit awards and the Grammys awards. The groups major influences were Echo, The Bunnymen, and George Harrison on a Rush of Blood to the (2002) and Johnny Cash and Kraftwerk for X&Y (2005). Coldplay style was influenced by different sources, which motivated them to work with several musicians. The members in the band are Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Phil Harvey, Will Champion, and Johny Buckland. The vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and the pianist is Chris Martin. The lead guitarist is Johnny Buckland, the bassist was Guy Berryman, and the drummer was Will Champion. Their creative director and form manager was Phil Harvey. The songs that were played in the concert were Sunrise, Orphans, Viva La Vida, Daddy, Broken, Arabesque, Fix You, Cry Cry, and Champion of the World. The instruments used in Sunrise were violins. At first it had this smooth melody but then a little towards the end it was a higher pitch. This song is meant for relaxation, you can tell by the melody. The instruments used for Orphans were guitars and drums. It was more upbeat because of the guitars and drums being used. The drums were mostly quarter beats. The instruments used in Viva la Vida guitars, violins, and piano. This was my favorite song out of the whole concert. This song had a nice beat to it, there were a lot of quarter notes used by violin. The instrument used for Daddy was piano. It has a nice gentle melody to it and its calming. These are some of the melodies to some of the songs that were played in the concert. The songs they played were either calming or upbeat. Lets use Viva La Vida as an example to explain about their vocal style. It's about happiness and the song gives you a good feeling because it has a nice chorus. The instrumental section of Coldplay will always have an electric guitar accompanied by a drum beat. The verses will both have an acoustic guitar, a simple drum pattern, bassline, and vocals. One of their songs called “Arabesque” is a standard format of alternating verses and choruses. One thing that stands out is the vocals and the melody. With this song they added jazz to it which is pretty cool. Two of the jazz instruments being used were saxophones and trombones. No vocals were used in this song. I was really surprised with this Band because they did not only perform rock even though they were known for that. They played anything which made it cool and enjoyable to listen to. This is actually one of the rock bands I like, I don't really like rock bands, but this is pretty good. I like them because they expand on their music topic. They're rhythm and beats to the song are sick. It's also cool that they use a lot of instruments, rock instruments, orchestra instruments, and jazz instruments which make the songs exciting....
