Fresh Picks offers fresh mixed fruits jelly. The objective of this business is to provide affordable fruits jelly and promoting healthy eating in the family. These refreshing jellies attract the attention of consumers due to their natural colour and flavour, smooth texture and less sweet taste. The 2021 Food and Health Survey Report shows that today’s consumers enjoy a food supply that is flavourful, nutritious, safe, colourful and affordable; therefore, I use fresh orange juice, green kiwifruit puree and dragon fruit to bring up the vibrant colours of the jelly. I uploaded photographs of my homemade mixed fruits jelly on my Facebook page to promote my business for free. Business Model Canvas (BMC) helps me to document my startup journey. It is a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool. It allows me to describe and design my business model. I also run more experiments with Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) to try out new ideas and understand my customers’ preferences. A VPC helps me to create value for my customers and this knowledge of the customer profile is crucial for understanding Customer Segments in the BMC. On the 24 th of October, I began to fulfill the jelly orders and make 50 cups of mixed fruits jelly for delivery in Taman Seri Desa, Taman Seri Rapat and Taman Berjaya in Ipoh. I hope this mixed fruits jelly will brighten up their days. My total start-up cost is RM314 and the main ingredients are fruits, agar-agar powder and sugar. My pricing strategy will be based on the objectives to get reasonable profits and to meet the demands of customers. I use cost-plus pricing and my markup percentage is 30%. My business doesn’t have a strategic marketing plan. I will optimize my marketing strategy to win more customers in the future by using e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and market my products in the supermarkets and petrol stations around Ipoh.
