University of West Georgia Tanner Health System School of Nursing BSN Program NURS 3202 - Health Care of the Client II Fall 2020 Class will Be Delivered Online, Asynchronously, EXCEPT for exams, which will be Delivered In Person in Newnan, Room 133 The schedule may be adjusted to meet learning needs of students and to accommodate guest speakers. This is a working document, so it is best that you access it online instead of printing at the first of the semester. Classroom activities and reading assignments may be revised throughout the semester to better meet student learning needs. Dates:

If you want a chance at earning an A in this class, I’d strongly suggest that you complete the assigned readings. You do not need to memorize everything you read - you should read to help develop a foundational understanding of the content. My exam questions, as well as those on the ATI (and eventually, NCLEX) will test you NOT on your ability to memorize information, but to demonstrate how you apply your understanding of the concepts to the process of clinical judgment.

In this course, the majority of your grade comes from your performance on Exams. You’ll learn the material at your own pace throughout the semester, but I STRONGLY encourage you to keep up with the recommended readings and learning activities each week so you’re not cramming the week before the test. You will not be successful if you try to cram.

Hint: Do you know that all of your books are also available to you as audio ebooks? You will need to download the ELSEVIER eBooks app and then you can listen to the assigned readings while commuting, folding laundry, doing dishes, walking, etc! :) Every semester, as I write the exam questions and work on revising the Power Point slides for each unit, I listen to the assigned chapters again.
