COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course aims to equip students understanding of the statistical concept and procedures and the understanding and interpretation of statistical results. It aims to introduce students to explain not only to apply statistical procedures but also to explain how to describe an accurate set of data meaningfully; the results of statistical tests in terms of their practical applications, how to evaluate the validity of the assumption have been violated.
II.
COURSE OBJECTIVES After the completion of this course, graduate students shall be able to: 1. Define basic statistical terms, including normal distribution, central tendency measures, variability, measurement levels, effect size, and probability.
2. Use statistical software to calculate and interpret descriptive statistics, explore data and solve statistical problems, and communicate statistical results according to the current APA style. 3. Describe statistical hypothesis testing, including rejecting and failing to reject the null hypothesis. 4. Choose an appropriate statistical procedure to solve educational research problems.
