Creating Xref and CP in autocad • • • • •

Find the job folder and double check that the level/slab/pour you are going to work on has not been drafted yet. Copy ‘Xref Template’ cad file from master folder to Xef folder inside job folder. Find related structural and architectural drawings and any possible discrepancy between them. Ask engineer about history of this job to identify anything you may need to consider while drafting. Attached latest structural and architectural cad file as Xref to your Xref file. (be sure you have the latest structural and architectural cad file.)

Start drawings lines in Xref base on following options: Option 1: start drawings lines and use COMPANY standard layers. Option 2: copy structural drawings file into your Xref and change layers by using ‘selectsimilar’ command and changing the layer from layer properties. Option 3: copy structural drawing and do ‘layer merge’ command by selecting the layer property and merge those to COMPANY standard layers. • • • • •

Compare what you have drawn with structural and architectural drawings and talk to engineer for any discrepancy. Make your Xref clean and put it inside A1 or B1 frame. Create title block Xref following the same steps and use structural and architectural information to find north point direction and project name. Copy cp template ‘PT0110’ from master folder to related folder level inside the job folder. Attached your Xref to this file and show all information we need to provide with copy and modifying blocks from right hand side of cad file....
