Dr. Parasuraman’s research on these topics have intrigued me and I would like to go in depth in these topics and gain hands-on experience working with robots. I am comfortable with programming in JAVA; however, I have experience working with hardware such as Arduino Uno. Having Dr. Parasuraman can not only help me advance my knowledge in programming but also help me dive into the engineering topics and apply them to my software projects.

I think this research opportunity exactly aligns with the type of work that holds meaning to me. I have experience working with 3D modeling programs such as AutoDesk Maya and I believing having Dr. Xie as my mentor will help go more in depth about these aspects and integrate them with biology and computer science. There is a need for effective drugs to combat the vast number of diseases that people suffer with today.
