Connor Franco Grand Canyon University CWV-101: Christian Worldview Professor Gale Watkins October 18, 2021

According to the Christian Worldview, we are all “Fallen Image Bearers”. This idea came to be when Adam and Eve were alone in the Garden of Eden. As stated in the Bible, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “you are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die” (The Holy Bible, New International Version, 2011/n.d., Genesis 15-17). However, Adam and Eve didn’t follow these commands, and sin and death were both introduced into the world and humans became morally bad. This has resulted in chaos throughout the world in many forms. These forms are sinful actions such as murder, sexual assault, and War. These actions all bring us away from God. For example, as explained by The Back Row, “We are all created in God’s image murder is killing someone that was created in God’s image” (Back Row, 2021). A sin, such as murder dehumanizes the victim of these horrific actions which can make this action seem less wrong but in God’s eyes, it is the same as any other sin. Although sin can take us away from God, we can still be forgiven by him no matter the actions we have committed. As humans, we can be reconciled from our actions to be brought back with God.
