CYB103: Communication Theory & Practice ASSESSMENT 2: TEXTUAL ANALYSIS Description: Written Paper Length: 1200 words (+/- 10%) Due Date: 11.59pm Sunday 6 September, via Blackboard Weighting: 30% of overall unit grade Type: Formative and Summative Instructions You must complete a 1200 word textual analysis of one of the supplied texts (see below), using the theoretical and analytical methods presented in weeks 2- 7 of the unit. This analysis should articulate a likely interpretation of the text and provide a detailed analysis of how the text communicates this meaning to its audience.
This assignment uses the APA referencing and formatting style as set out in QUT Cite Write and The APA 6th Edition Guidelines.

Assignment must be written and organised in standard academic essay style. You should clearly specify which text you are analysing at the start of the essay. Your analysis must reference unit materials (e.g. lecture slides, videos, readings etc.) where appropriate. As you are the one undertaking the analysis, you may use first-person voice, but only do so sparingly. Your analysis must be accompanied by a reference list. Essay must be 1.5 or double spaced. Detailed assessment criteria are available from the CYB103 Blackboard site.
