Therapeutic Use Prevents blood clots helps to reduce the risk of a stroke.
Complications adominal pain, bloating, vomit/nausea, GI ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux, gastritis like symptoms, intracranial bleed, GI bleed, anaphylaxis

Contraindications/Precautions Anticoagulant therapy, renal disease, bleeding, prostatic heart valves, surgery
Interactions glycoprotein inhibitor Ketoconazole, amiodarone, verapamil, quinidine= excessive bleeding
Nursing Interventions Nurse should monitor pt for: -Bleeding - Blood in stool & urine Lower back pain Nurse should assess for: - thrombosis, emboli, MI, swelling, redness, respiratory distress, coughing blood, cyanosis -Watch out for: postthrombotic syndrome (swelling, varicose veins, heaviness)
Client Education Evaluation of Medication Effectiveness Absence of emboli, decreased formation/extension
