Description

Qualitative data is defined as non-numerical data, such as text, video, photographs or audio recordings. This type of data can be collected using diary accounts or in-depth interviews, and analyzed using grounded theory or thematic analysis. (McLeod, 2019) .In the case study it talked about a few quantitative measures that were very important to the New Earth Mining Company. The company chose to deal with Drexel Corp. which gave them the opportunity to strategize what they wanted to invest in, while maximizing their profit and return.

Quantitative research involves the process of objectively collecting and analyzing numerical data to describe, predict, or control variables of interest. (McLeod, 2019)The information in the case study give off a great amount of quantitative and qualitative data. For the qualitative data, the New Earth Mining location was one of the most important takeaways. In the case study it talked about how New Earth Mining was a high producer who succeeded finically a time where gold’s value increased in the early 2000’s. New Earth used its balance sheet to display the overflow of earnings which gave them the great opportunity to expand. With this being done it gave many other countries the willingness to want to join and make deals with New Earth Mining. References Fruhan, William E., and Wei Wang.
