This puppy sales contract legally binds the Breeder and the Purchaser on the following conditions: The breeder has followed the National Breed Club Guidelines and used the Kennel Club health schemes and certification to ensure that the sire and dam are sound breeding stock. The puppies have been reared in a home environment and have been wormed at two weeks, five weeks and eight weeks. The puppy is believed to be in good health.

The purchaser is strongly advised to have the puppy vet checked within three days of collecting the puppy. If the vet certifies that there is any problem which makes the puppy unfit for sale, provided the puppy is returned in the same condition as when it was sold, and within seven days, the breeder will take the puppy back and refund the full purchase price. The breeder will not pay expenses incurred in the return of a puppy nor accept any claim for distress caused by the return. The breeder has enquired of the purchaser his or her past experience with dogs and with this particular dog breed and on the basis of the information received is willing to place a puppy with the purchaser. The breeder has pointed out to the purchaser the main conditions the breed is prone to and the health schemes followed to reduce the risk of such conditions. Every puppy is an individual and the breeder cannot be held responsible should conditions, genetic or otherwise, develop later in life. The purchaser agrees that the dog will be kept in appropriate conditions for its welfare and health. It will be fed on a suitable diet for its age and condition and have appropriate exercise. It will receive all necessary veterinary care to maintain its physical good health. The dog will be kept under appropriate control and will not be neglected or maltreated in any way. The purchaser attests that he or she has not been banned from keeping a dog or any other animal by any legal court. If circumstances occur where it becomes necessary to re-home the dog, the breeder must first be notified and given an opportunity to take back the dog either by purchase (in the case of selling on) or to home it if it is in need of rescue.

Fourth Section: Health & Welfare The stud dog owner has taken every care with the welfare of the stud dog. The stud dog owner gives no warranties regarding the birth of any puppies arising from the mating(s) covered by this contract. d) Litter & Puppy Registration(s) The stud dog’s owner undertakes that they will sign and complete all Kennel Club documentation to confirm the date of the mating in the event that a puppy or puppies are produced by the mating, and provide any other information regarding the mating that the Kennel Club may require within seven days of a written request to do so. The stud dog’s owner is not obligated to sign any litter registration application until the stud service fee is paid in full or pick of the litter is agreed.

e) Bitch Not Conceiving The bitch’s owner must notify the stud dog’s owner in writing, no later than 70 days after last mating, if no pregnancy results from the mating. Proof from the veterinary practice must be provided along with the written notice. Failure to do so will result in no return service being provided and the stud service considered fulfilled. One puppy born alive or dead constitutes a litter. However if only one puppy results from this mating, a return service will be provided at no charge to this same bitch at her next approved heat, or within one year, provided all conditions of this contract have been met. In the event of the bitch not conceiving, the following clauses must be respected: 1. The stud service fee will not be reimbursed 2. On the next bitch’s heat season, another stud service must be performed under the very same conditions described on this contract If the bitch fails to conceive on the return service, this contract is terminated. The stud service fee will not be reimbursed and the expenses are shared between both dogs’ owners as described in paragraph c).

The Bitch Owner will pay the Stud Owner a total fee of __________, with a nonrefundable deposit of __________ paid at the time of the breeding. The rest of the amount will be paid upon the successful whelping of the litter. The Stud Owner may/may not choose a male/female pup from the litter in lieu of the payment remainder at this time. The Bitch Owner will deliver or send the brood bitch to the Stud Owner and will leave the bitch in the Stud Owner's care for no longer than ______ days. The Bitch Owner will provide any medication or special dietary requirements for the bitch. The Stud Owner will provide shelter, care and sustenance for the duration of the bitch's stay.
