Task No.3 – Damped FreeVibration Response of SDOF Damped Free Vibration Response of SDOF (Respons Getaran Bebas Teredam SDOF) PROBLEM : 3.3. The weight W of the building of Fig. E3-1 is 200 kips (=889.64 kN) and the building is set into free vibration by releasing it (at time t = 0) from a displacement of 1.20 in (=30.48 mm). If the maximum displacement on the return swing is 0.86 in (=21.844 mm) at time t = 0.64 s, determine: a. the lateral spring stifness k b. the damping ration c. the damping coefcient c W = mg (t) k c k Gambar 1 (E3-1). Sistem yang akan dianalisis menurut Soal 3-3. SOLUTION : Langkah : Merumuskan persamaan gerakan sistem dan mengevaluasi parameter berdasarkan amplitudo gerak. Bangunan 1 lantai diidealisasikan sebagai balok kaku yang ditunjang oleh kolom-kolom atau disebut sistem portal (berat kolom diabaikan). Hanya terjadi 1 mode shape (bentuk lengkungan) portal, sehingga persamaan gerakan sistem dapat dimodelisasikan sebagai berderajat kebebasan tunggal (SDOF).
