It is biodegradable and can be eaten. Edible water blobs produced by combining two substances such as sodium alginate and calcium salt. Standard for drinking water has been followed in the pro- ducing of edible water blobs such as pH and turbidity. We also test the biodegradability of our sachet. The water that can encapsulated in one blob is about 60 mL but it also depends on the size we want. For the edible water blobs, the sphere is made up by using ice mold. The ice melts into liquid water and sachet, which is edible and biodegradable, forms a watertight seal around it. This ed- ible water blobs can be a rival to compare with plastic water bottle on the market when the times come. Other reason to choose this edible water blobs is because it will compete with others by the life cycle assessment such as the manufacturing stage. This stage can appear to be a vi- able option for decreasing impact of the plastic water bot- tle industry on the environmental impact. The edible water blobs also can classify as low pricing since the method manufacturing is easy than plastic water bottle. There- fore, the edible water blobs are marketable at big event in accordance with the pollution to be generated. Keywords Keywords: Edible water blobs, decrease environmental impact, life cycle assessment 1. Introduction Since the 1950's, the production of plastic has out- paced that of almost every other material due to its versa- tility and functionality. Most of these plastics are designed to be thrown away after being used only once (single-use) which results in single-use disposable plastics waste accu- mulation. Only 9% of the nine billion tonnes of plastic the world has ever produced has been recycled. Most ends up in landfills, dumps or in the open environment (UN Envi- ronment Annual Report 2018, 2019). Single-use plastics are plastics that are commonly used for plastic packaging, carry bags and include items intended to be used only once before they are thrown away. [1] Plastic wastes, including packaging, electrical equipment and plastics from end-of-life vehicles, are ma- jor components of both household and industrial wastes; our capacity for disposal of waste to landfill is finite and in some locations landfills are at, or are rapidly approach- ing, capacity [4]. So from several perspectives it would seem that our current use and disposal of plastics is the cause for concern [5]....
