Summary

Great Lab to look if you're in ECE 301...

Description

Edwin Hyatt III ECE 301 Section 210 F 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM Lab #10 11/18/17

Objective The goal of the lab was to construct a circuit with different variations of clock signals and the noise that is caused by potentially incorrect design and other factors. The waves shown in the lab manual were to be similar to that shown on the PCB scope.

System Design

Testing Approach I used the wires, motherboard chip, 2 JK Flip Flops, a NOT gate, and a multiplexer. I figured out the function of each by looking at their respected data sheets and arranging the wires in such a way as to perform the desired function from my electric circuit.

Comments and Conclusion So based upon my testing, my circuit initially didn’t match the data logger from PCB Scope like it was supposed to. I was given an opportunity to change my circuitry to make my Wave #2 work, but I chose to accept a poor grade so I could get out of class early and study last-minute for my subsequent class. I realize that that was a foolish decision and I will start taking these next few labs very seriously. I want to demonstrate to my lab instructors that I know what I’m doing that the results from the PCB scope match the expected output....
