SYNTHESIS The availability of non-renewable resources is an economic challenge. This is an immediate challenge for a number of resources and sectors. The pressure on greenhouse gases could well increase, particularly in developed countries, with mandatory provisions and disinvestment of responsible or concerned investors. The huge level of waste production in society where fast-moving consumer goods are massively consumed makes it inevitable to establish the manufactures’ liability for the products end-of-life.
