British Scientist Francis Galton was the creator of eugenics. In his work, he concluded that superior intelligence and abilities were inherited with an efficiency of 20%. From this, he coined the term "eugenics", which meant "well-born". He theorized that mankind could evolve through having the fittest members of society to reproduce. Francis Galton's idea gained popularity in the early 1900s and still is revered today in the form of the new eugenics.
