Description

British Scientist Francis Galton was the creator of eugenics. In his work, he concluded that superior intelligence and abilities were inherited with an efficiency of 20%. From this, he coined the term "eugenics", which meant "well-born". He theorized that mankind could evolve through having the fittest members of society to reproduce. Francis Galton's idea gained popularity in the early 1900s and still is revered today in the form of the new eugenics. DNA screening is part of new eugenics, it allows prospective parents to view if their child has any genetic abnormalities, known as amniocentesis, which involves inserting a needle through the uterus to withdraw fluid and cells from the amniotic sac....
