Purpose / Use:
Drug induced hepatitis, hallucinations, ARRYTHMIAS, ↓ sperm count, erectile dysfunction, gynecomastia, AGRANULOCYTOSIS, APLASTIC ANEMIA.
Pre-Administration:
CBC with differential, kidney function.
Healing and prevention of ulcers. ↓ symptoms of Gastroesophageal reflux. ↓ secretion of gastric acid secretion.
Action:
Inhibits H2-receptor site histamines and thereby inhibiting gastric secretions.
Assess for epigastric or abdominal pain and frank or occult blood in the stool, emesis, or gastric aspirate. Monitor Vitals
Contraindications: Post-Administration: Hypersensitivity and phenylketonuria. Use cautiously in: renal impairment, OB, and lactation.
