2. COURSE DESCRIPTION For BBA (FINA) and BSc (QFIN) only. This is a self-paced e-learning course aims to provide students with knowledge of financial markets and Bloomberg functionality. The course consists of six modules: economic indicators, currencies, fixed income, equities, getting Started on the Terminal and Portfolio Management. Students will need to complete all six modules to receive the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification. Graded P or F. 3. COURSE OBJECTIVES The course aims to provide students with knowledge of financial markets and Bloomberg functionality.

4. COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES Course Intended Learning Outcomes CLO1. - Learn about the financial markets, Bloomberg data, news, and analytics via five modules – Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities and Getting Started on the Terminal. CLO2. - Familiarize students with Bloomberg terminal functions CLO3 - Solidify students’ knowledge with over 100 interactive questions.

6. STNDARDS FOR ASSESSMENT Course Grade Descriptors

Assessment Rubrics For Each Assessment BMC and the compulsory assignment are graded independently. To pass this course, students have to pass both BMC and the compulsory assignment. a)

Students have to get at least 70% from BMC, this means the average score of five modules (Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities and Portfolio Management) is at least 70%. b) Students have to get at least 70% from the compulsory assignment

Important Date: 1. Successfully complete Economic Indicators and Currencies modules with the BMC Group Code (49RH2FPB6K) on or before 12th March 2021. Modules completed past this deadline will incur a penalty of 10% per day late (i.e., no points will be given after the 10th day past the deadline). 2. Complete Fixed Income and Equities modules on or before 9th April 2021. 3. Successfully submit the compulsory assignment on or before 30th April 2021. 4. Completion of BMC, including Getting Started on the Terminal and Portfolio Management modules (30th Apr 2021): Those who cannot get a BMC certification of completion on or before 30th Apr 2021 will be assigned a F grade for FINA3810, even though the BMC access is valid for 12 months. 7.
