ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Crowdsourcing is an information that comes from a large groups of people in a single platform on the internet. Most people uses crowdsourcing as a medium for a seeking jobs and freelance jobs. Moreover, crowdsourcing has benefits a lot of companies in raising capital by doing work for other employer, or also benefits freelancers in giving them paid work for certain projects. Plus, the company can operates wherever they wanted and the workers does not have to work in the office which also saving up most of the organization’s operation cost. The subject, Digital Workforce (UBM599) from Universiti Teknologi Mara has given me a task in which I have to create an online profiling in five different freelancers platform like Freelancers.com, Upwork.com, Peopleperhour.com, Guru.com and Designcrowd.com. In these five different platforms, they have one thing in common which is competing with other freelancers that made the bid on one job. In order to get my proposal accepted by the employer, I have to create an online profiling which consists of professional photo, detail and compact description, a professional email and attach a Curriculae Vitae together in the profiling. Therefore, I have made this portfolio as a reporting method on my crowdsourcing freelance job seeking journey. This subject has giving me a chance in experiencing on how freelancer looking for a job online and work flexibly. However, I still need to be careful since most of the employers are not really serious in finding someone to hire because they have another bad intention towards the users.

This job offer has the characteristics of a scammer. The account are not verified and never been rated by any freelancers before. In my own point of view, I could say that this employer also has the specification of a scammer due to the job their offer which is kind of suspicious.

This unverified account that just texted me could be a scammer because it’s lack of professionalism in writing text. Although it did not gave me a link, but it could tell a scammer through its unverified employer profile.

CONCLUSION

Crowdsourcing has a lot of benfits to the people since its existing. It has helped the unemployed graduates with skills and also low income people get an extra income. Plus, it also can benefits the company to find more capital by recruiting their employees into the freelancer platform. Other than that, it also could help the under developed countries tackles the issue of unemployment in their country. Throughout my experience using the freelancer platform, I have learned that everything can be done remotely on this digitalisation era. People does not need to work in the office while every work in the platform can be done from our home. Although I have not received any feedback from any verified employer, I could say that this crowdsourcing platform could benefit me in the future. Therefore, the freelancer website should be spread out among the communities because some of the unemployed still does not aware of the website. Moreover, government should play a maximize their effort in giving exposure regarding freelance platform in this pandemic situation as a recovery for the high unemployment rate in the country due to the fact that the country has less number of job oppurtunities in some working field. To be conclude that, there are more opportunities in various field in the freelance platform for people who are looking for a frelance jobs. In this digital era, everything could be search to the website since an Internet is an opportunities for everyone.
