B2+ and B2++ VOCABULARY AND PRONUNCIATION WORK *All the documents you need are on Moodle, on the Ressources apprentissage anglais page.* This semester, you will work on the Academic word list (AWL). This is a list of the most useful words used in academic English – this means English used at university, to study and do research. Hopefully you already know quite a few of them but you need to learn the rest of the list. You will also work on another list of colocations – these are expressions, set phrases made up of several words that go together. (For example: “have a party”, “take a break”, “come to terms with”, etc.). You need to memorize them so you don’t use “Frenglish” anymore for those very common expressions! Remember that learning a word means learning its meaning, but also its spelling, and its pronunciation: on the document, you have links to work on the list on your phone or computer. •
Words in bold are probably new, and highlighted words are often confusing – they are “faux-amis” or have several meanings, you absolutely need to look them up in the dictionary.

Many words are often mispronounced by French student– so to help you, the full list has been recorded. Please listen to the recorded audio version to hear and memorize their correct pronunciation!
