Description

Garbology Assignment Garbage A 1. It appears that the individuals living in House A play video games a decent bit and cook quick microwave meals. 2. The economic class of House A looks to be about lower middle-class. 3. The demographic is likely young men who have no familial relation to one another (roommates). 4. We assumed that the individuals in A are male college students. They seem to like video games and junk food. Garbage B 1. The activities from House B are most likely just the daily activities of a family. It is clear that the parents do laundry and shop at stores such as Target. 2. The economic class of Garbage B is middle class because they have organic food, extra toys, and target clothes. 3. Garbage B looks like it supports a family of 3 or 4 4. We assumed that the individuals in B are a middle class family and a potential occupation could be an archaeologist with the exploding skull Garbage C 1. It looks like the individuals in House C are preparing for the Holiday season. Their garbage consists of a window insulation kit, Christmas wrapping paper, and winter-themed oreos. This would all point towards someone preparing for Christmas and cold weather. 2. The economic class of Garbage C is middle class because they can afford Starbucks double shot, sparkling water, and Winter-themed oreos. 3. The demographics appear to be a single-parent household. Most likely a mother and a child. 4. Whoever lives in House C (probably the child) seems to like arts and crafts. This is demonstrated by the broken crayons, leftover paint, and pipe cleaners. Garbage D 1. In House D, it seems as though the individuals enjoy going to museums and traveling as they have many brochures and out of country bags. 2. The economic class of Garbage B is definitely upper middle/upper class as they have money to travel and have more expensive brands. They are able to go out of the country and afford meal type food rather than just Frozen pizza and they own vitamins. 3. Could be an older, single adult who is into more healthy brands or who could have more time to cook based on the types of food. 4. The picture from D tells that whoever lives here likes to travel. Garbage E

1. We guessed that House E recently had a small social gathering because of the multiple different types of alcohol that were present in the garbage. 2. House E is probably middle-class to upper middle-class. Some of the items in their trash, such as the alcohol and takeout food, are not exactly cheap and would require a decent income. 3. The demographic for Garbage E is an older couple. This is because they have a smaller detergent set, two wine bottles, and one takeout menu. 4. House E probably has a pet of some sort because of the chew treats found in the trash. They also like to have a casual drink and hang out with friends....
