The doric peplos was a fitted garment worn by men and women made out of wool. The loincloth was worn in Greece and was worn by men and women. The women wore bands to cover their upper body. Population consisted of men, women, children, foreigners, and slaves. Houses were made of sun dried brick without heat and running water. Women lacked political power and had no control over their lives. Marriages were arranged and men married usually at thirty. Women married at fourteen.
