Dionysus Summary: October 5th, 2017 •

Dionysus

Dionysus, son of Semele. Had “rich” dark hair, had strong shoulders, wore a purple robe. Tyrsenian pirates abducted Dionysus because they thought he was the son of kings. The pirates attempted to bond him, yet failed. They then realized that he was a god, and shrieked, then then wondered if it were Zeus, Apollo, or Poseidon who they had taken aboard. Then they decided to relinquish him to shore, careful not to lay a hand on him, thinking he was Poseidon and would become angry and incite strong winds. One of the men aboard the ship refused to let him free, and set sail full speed ahead instead. As soon as this was done, strange things began to occur. Wine began to flow throughout the ship, a sweet wonderfully scented wine, the men were quite surprised at its appearance. A vine then formed along the mast and the sail of the ship and grew grapes. Finally after seeing this the men decided to land the ship, but it was too late for Dionysus morphed into a dragon right there in that very moment. Lion sprang upon master and seized him. The remaining sailors jumped overboard in an attempt to escape, but were turned into dolphins upon entering the water. He had mercy on helms man for not jumping ship. He is child of Zeus and Semele daughter of Cadmus. • Ares: Strong, chariot rider, golden haired, brave hearted, shield bearer. savior of cities, bronze harnessed, tireless, good with spear, defense of olympus, father of victory, ally of themis, governor of rebellious, help be drive award cowardliness. •
