Home Economics Goal The Bachelor of Science in Home Economics aims to develop highly competent Home Economist in the community, Home Economics Industries, Entrepreneurship and in Academe.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES A. Promote the role of Home Economics for well-being of the families in relation to the needs, resources and potentials of its members in a changing environment B. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitude adopting environment and culture friendly technologies utilizing locally available resources in the different areas of Home Economics. C. Integrate Home Economics concerns and issues with local and national developmental efforts. D. Perform management skills in the implementation of projects and activities within the different areas of Home Economics for individuals, groups and institutions. E. This course focuses on the dynamics of the Filipino Family and a deeper understanding and appreciation of one’s socio-cultural heritage, his beliefs, traditions, practices, etc. as vital factors in the development of value system of the Filipino Family. It also emphasizes responsible parenthood and the role of the family as educator of values and its responsibilities in building the nation.

Students are required to take quizzes and participate actively in Oral recitation. Make-up quizzes will only be given after presenting an excuse letter signed by parents/guardian, adviser and guidance coordinator. Taking late examination for Mid-term and Final will only be given after presenting excuse letter signed by the parents/guardian, adviser and guidance coordinator.

ATTENDANCE:  

Coming late in class 3 times is equivalent to 1 day absent. Three (3) absences will require the parents/guardian to come and have a dialogue. Thus, serves as a warning to the student concern so as not to be absent anymore.
