Description

ECE485/585 Programmable Logic Controllers Homework Assignment #7 The grading rubric found on the course website applies to all ladder logic exercises in this and all homework/project assignments. The course instructor reserves the right to grade any or all problems (i.e. not all problems may be counted in the grade reported in the course gradesheet). 1. Using the Unitronics PLC/HMI, program the equivalent of the Advanced Batch Mixing Lab Exercise #2 (http://www.thelearningpit.com/lp/doc/bl/bladv.html) from the PLC simulator website. In addition to the functionality provided by the ladder logic, you must create an HMI screen that mimics the operation of the batch mixing simulation as closely and as professionally as possible. OR 2. The LogixPro simulator provides a four floor elevator simulation capability. Design a ladder logic program to control the elevator in the most realistic manner possible. Consider all available inputs and outputs the elevator simulation provides in creating your ladder logic program. The degree of functionality/modes of operation implemented in you design will count toward the functionality/specifications component of the grading rubric. You may use the LogixPro Multi Floor Elevator Student Exercise given at http://www.thelearningpit.com/lp/doc/elv/vator.html to your advantage in developing your design. In addition to the program hardcopy and documentation required by the grading rubric, submit your PLC programs via email not later than class time on the due date. Name the files hw7-1.vlp or hw7-2.rsl depending on the problem you choose to implement....
