Ibai Llanos The emergence of the well-known streamers has had a big impact on our society. One perfect example would be Ibai Llanos, who got the first interview with Leo Messi on his presentation as a new player for PSG. Is Ibai a threat for journalism? In my opinion, what makes the famous people want to be interviewed, or just visit Ibai in Barcelona, it’s the seek of peace. As Ibai says, he´s not a journalist, so his aim is to make the other person have a good and a peaceful time. When the popular sports journalist Juanma Castaño, wrote a polemic tweet asking why Ibai was interviewing Messi, a well-known youtuber called: ¨Auronplay¨ defended him with a tweet that perfectly summarizes my point of view: ¨Maybe that guy you laugh at and belittle makes the players feel much more at ease and that's why they choose him. They have the peace of mind that they are going to have a good time and he is not going to ask them uncomfortable questions¨. Ibai has invented what I like to call: ¨casual journalism¨. A space where he uses his great communication skills without searching for the latest new and where celebrities can announce their new issues in a very young audience. So, for traditional journalism is not dangerous, as long as they don’t criticize Ibai, who has the younger generations and all the social networks on his favor (examples are Juanma Castaño and Gustavo López)....
