Introduction: While working in an organization employees hunger to realize that particular organization practise diversity and equality or not. In the era of globalization the company recruit employees using various methods like ethnocentric, polycentric, and geocentric etc. for this types of recruitment method diversity and equality play a vital role. For example one employee came from home country

where as organization operate their business in host country, in this

particular field company needs to ensure the proper practise of diversity and equality to motivated the employee. Diversity encourage to participate in a discussion whereas equality leads to get the same advantages without any kind of biasness. If diversity and equality can be assured then innovation and creativity within an organizational will be accelerated.

Background Wal-Mart an American retail corporation which operate a chain of large department stores, grocery stores and warehouse store. Wal-Mart Store Inc., established in 1945 and now they operates retail stores in three major divisions in more than 27 countries. The continued success by offering a wide range of products across a wide range of categories. They have 1.5M employee in US with revenue of around 524 million USD (2020). In their workforces

percent African American, 14 percent Latino , 4 percent Asian, 1 percent Pacific Islander and 1 percent Alaskan Native and on other side 55 percent employee are women. Walmart management consider equality and diversity in a good business, it helps to provide better customer services and attract talented employee who want opportunity to explore themselves. And diversity in work place give more innovative idea to solve the problem. As a result, Walmart got their success by implanting diversity and equality in their workplaces Problem statement: according to survey and various report that has conducted recently it stated that many employee all over the world are not satisfied with their incentive and compensate. They feel that they deserve more. They accused the lack diversity and inequality in workplace for not getting their undesired payoff. If company arrange equality and diversity in company’s working environment, it will to increase productivity and efficiency in employee’s performances. In organization like Walmart, the presentation of diversity and equality cannot be ignored. But

recently a statistics show that 70% of the people left their job in the first year. This project will play vital role to understand this problem. Aim and objectives:

Objectives In this research, Walmart will have a number of objectives to accomplish. The objective of this research paper is to show the overview of current literature on equity and diversity.

To

understand how equality and diversity impact on organization performances. The political parties we see right now it came from many changes and evaluation. To evaluate and summarize the effect of diversity and equality on employee’s efficiency and productivity.

Research rationale Nowadays in every organization’s management try to allow the equality and diversity in their policy. Diversity and equality play significant role to enrich the overall organization performances. Appreciating equality and diversity in workplaces can impact on productivity and employees help pursue the business growth because they feel their performances will judge in a proper way. Employee are motivated enough to done his/her job properly because they realized that they have equal opportunity without fear of their belief, gender, race or disability can hold them back. This research topic is totally related on diversity and equality. In this research the effect of diversity and equality on employees in the organizational performance will be justified from the view of the Walmart cor. The research will evaluate and summarize the relation diversity and equality and provide a comprehensive idea for equality and diversity on organization performances.

Literature view: Workplace diversity contains people from different background and characteristics. A workforce may be considered as diverse when it has inhabitants of different backgrounds, such as several religions, social beliefs, employment, race, etc. People with various talents have their own competencies and abilities to achieve the goal. For example, a Human resources management graduate would be able to manage the Human resources better than a graduate of the Architecture. A number of employee are working within a company to achieve company vision

and mission. The first and foremost function of any organization is to implement a better environment for their employee. According to Benhabib (2018), several departments will require communities from a diverse context who are well served by diversity and inclusion to accomplish a variety of tasks. If workplace equity is structured, it may decrease employee turnover along with improved employee engagement. For this reason, organizational diversity and equality is a very important topic to research. When equity is applied to the diversity, engagement in the workforce would be increased and social awareness followed. Equality and Diversity practice in workforce has an organizational benefits but we can find few disadvantages of equality and diversity. For example many people feel uncomfortable by working with different kind of age, region, sex, and culture. First, while hiring diversity we have to provide them training and the cost of training increased. This training cost increase comes from costs related with sessions, curriculums and lectures that assumed to encourage diversity and equality in the workplace. These training are available for all the employee that are working within the organization. Training help employees to learn the characters and ideas of organization culture and others. These training programs also helps to know how to deal with conflicts and prejudice in a professional and civil manner (White, 1999). A disadvantage of equality and diversity in the workplace is an increase in conflicts. Conflicts stand up when more individuals or groups do not come with one solution or one idea. Basically conflicts arise largely in workplace due to obliviousness. The major conflict occur when particular one individual feels superior. When management of an organization ignores conflict the company’s performance may suffer (White, 1999). If they have managed and controlled conflict then the organization performance can be increased. The value of diversity and equality within an organization cannot be neglected. When there is diversity and equality, employees will always feel motivated to engage in a different sort of decision making. Employees can get plenty of good vibes with the help of such environment. Organizations may require workforce with a diverse context, so that they can amply diversity and equality in the company’s decision making. We should practice these in where equity should help us get the same advantages. Innovation is well assured here when ideas from various aspects enter the structure of the organization. Different factors come from the diverse workplace which can incorporate social awareness (Conley et al., 2017). Diverse places of employment and social

inclusion are also used to address issues faster. When workplace equity is structured, it will carry reduced employee turnover along with improved employee engagement.

Research methodology Introduction Research methodology is something that used to evaluate and summarize the research paper properly. In this concern, the methodology application can indicate you that what type of research, researcher is going to design for this project.

Research philosophy all about the way that we collect, analysed and used data. The major research philosophy can be identified as positivism, realism and interpretivism. Positivists’ philosophy believe that reality is constant and it can be practical and defined from an objective viewpoint (Levin, 1988). In this research paper we will applied this positivism research philosophy, where we will gather the knowledge different theme such as equality, diversity and workplace performances. Equality and diversity has play significant role in organization performances. So, the research will follow the positivism philosophy

Research approach is a tactic and procedure containing of some steps from assumptions to comprehensive data collection, analysis, and interpretation methods. In this research, the inductive research approach will be followed where we will first gather the data from observation, survey or other sources will used. Once data gathered the data, we will widely analysis the data and interpret this data using various tools. Finally the research approach will able to produce new data.

Research strategy In this research, we will mainly focus on survey that use conducted among the Walmart employees. This Survey methods can be able to find sufficient information from the employee that are working for that particular company. In this method their ideas about a particular forum will be gathered and used for better work completion (Kothari, 2018).However, for qualitative analysis, interview method will also be used here.

Research choice in this research we will use both qualitative and quantitative method for collect the data. Most of the data we will collect from quantitative method for analysing and some of the quantitative data will not be mentioned.

Population and sampling In this research paper we will target the employee who worked for Walmart. We will collect data from them by conducting a survey. Once data is collected we will sampling 30 survey for analysing the data. This is the way in which sampling will accelerated.

Data collection methods In this research we will collect data using two sources one is primary and another one is secondary sources. For primary research, we will conduct a survey of employee of Walmart and interview those people who have left their workplace and find out the problems they have to face while working in this organization. To do that I will design a questionnaire with different types of reaction so that I can get beneficial data which will help me to do this research paper. For my secondary research, I am planning to use the resources of external sources it can be articles, journal, report and magazine. I will also browse the internet and use the search engines like Google to get more information about this diversity, equality and organizational performances.

Data analysis in this research data analysis methods will including statistical analysis in many different ways. For the statistical analysis we follow some step the collection, organization, displaying, analysis, interpretation and presentation then finally data will be accelerated and aligned. Research ethics: Research ethics is closely related to the applications of ethical values and principles that principles the misconduct of research. In spite of having some limitations in data collection, this project doesn’t compromise with any act of ethical flaw to complete this research

project. The research data collected from the survey and interview that particular that will not disclosed. Any unprofessional access has not adopted to collect data and biasness completely disregarded.

Data Analysis For my research on equality and diversity in workplace I have conducted a survey which was accomplished by employee of Walmart.

This survey is about how employee’s performances are fairly judged or not. The Yellow portion of the Pie tells about never fairly judged and the percentage is 5% and this is the lowest portion. The blue portion tells about Very high satisfaction of being fairly judged and percentage is 62% the highest percentage. The Orange portion of the Pie tells about sometimes feel that being fairly judged. The grey portion of the Pie tells about very few performance are being fairly judged.

The survey is about what they feel that their contribution is valued or not. This Pie chart is total 100%. The blue portion of the Pie tells about the positive response which is 87% and the orange portion of the Pie tells about the negative response which is 13%

The survey is about do they feel the positive impact of equality and diversity. This Pie chart is total 100%. The blue portion of the Pie tells about the positive response which is 97% and the orange portion of the Pie tells about the negative response which is 3%

This survey shows what motivate them to work here. The orange portion of this pie chart tells us diversity motivates them to work at Walmart, which is 32%. And blue portion show that equality encourage them to work and the percentage is 30. The grey portion tells us job security motivate them which is 25.8%.

The survey is about do the management treat all the employee equally. This Pie chart is total 100%. The blue portion of the Pie tells about the positive response which is 90% and the orange portion of the Pie tells about the negative response which is 10%.

Research plan Though the project divided into two section part 1 and part 2. The part 1 comprised the research proposal where part 2 is research project. The whole project will cover with 4 month so, the overall research plan are given below: Activities

Conclusion The diversity and equality in workplace can lead to build up effective management. The modern day workplace should be safe and friendly for all the employee. So, it is so significant to ensure equality and diversity in the workplace for productivity and efficiency. While company face any sort of problem diversity and equality lead to provide various solution and idea and it will help to overcome the problem. A diversify workforce can help a firm build relations with a wider range

of customer. Employees can accomplish a good work and life balance through diversity and equality that suitable both parties when outside influences affect. To conclude the report, Equality in the workplace helps employees to get encouraged which makes them work with highest efficiency. Diversity is useful to support the different requirements of the Walmart group.
