Description

Importing SPSS Data Into SAS File, Import Data. Select SPSS File.

Click Next. Point to the file to be imported.

Click Next. Name the Member. This is the name to which you will refer in DATA= and in SET statements in your syntax.

Click Next.

If you want to save the syntax for importing this file, so you won ’t have to go through the wizard again the next time you import it, point to the location for saving the syntax. Then click Next and then Finish. If you do not want to save the syntax, just click Finish. At this point, the data are in SAS and you can start writing syntax as usual. If you need a reminder of what the variables are, PROC CONTENTS; RUN;


