IMPORTANT NOTES TO FACILITATE ONLINE ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER (July 2019 Intake) A. Acceptance of Offer (AOO) Listed below are the steps to complete your AOO to enroll as a student of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS): 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6)

Click the AOO link in the admission notification (as emailed to you) from 15 May to 15 June 2019. Login with the required information. Confirm acceptance of the SUSS Honour Code and PDPA Agreement (see section B). Confirm Challenge Exam (CEX) waiver and/or credit recognition awarded to you (if applicable). Confirm course registration (see Section F) and make fee payment online by 15 June 2019. For offline payment, please print the proforma invoice and follow the payment instructions in the Proforma Invoice.

B. SUSS Honour Code and PDPA Agreement The SUSS Honour Code sets out the academic, social and ethical standards that SUSS expects of its students. As a condition of admission, all students are to accept the terms and conditions spelt out in the PDPA Agreement and pledge their agreement to abide by the Honour Code. A softcopy of the SUSS Honour Code will be sent to your MyMail email account (for your information and retention) after you have successfully enrolled as a student of SUSS. Online Academic Integrity Module SUSS takes a serious view on academic integrity. We have developed an online module “SD103 – Academic Integrity” to help you better understand the issues on academic integrity. This module can be found at Canvas via the Student Portal. Please go through this module in the early phase of your study at SUSS. C. Deadline for AOO and Fee Payment Your enrolment to SUSS is subject to payment of fees shown in the proforma invoice. Your place for the programme will be released to other applicants if we do not receive your fee payment by the deadline, 15 June 2019. Request for extension of payment deadline, if granted by the University, is subject to availability of places and courses, as well as a late payment penalty fee i.e., 5% of the fee amount payable. SkillsFuture Credit If you wish to utilise your SkillsFuture Credit for course fee payment, you may submit your claim via the SkillsFuture Credit Portal at: http://www.skillsfuture.sg/credit by 1 June 2019. You will be notified once your application has been approved and a new invoice will be generated to reflect the new fees payable. Kindly note the following when submitting your SkillsFuture Credit claim: 1) You need to have a copy of the SUSS Profoma Invoice for July 2019 semester 2) Please indicate your programme name, e.g. “Bachelor of Accountancy”, under the course title 3) Please indicate “22/07/2019 as your course start date. Financial Assistance Please visit our website (see “Part-time Undergraduate” -> “Admissions” -> “Financial Aid”) for details on the various financial aid schemes available. To avoid delay in fee payment, it is advisable that you apply for bank loan (if required) early as most banks will take at least 2 weeks to process your application. Government Subsidy/Course Fee Concession If you are eligible for the government subsidy, and/or course fee concession, the proforma invoice will reflect the nett course fee that you need to pay. If you are currently not eligible for government subsidy, you may submit your documentary proof (i.e. employment letter or latest pay slip) to us by 19 July 2019 to be considered for eligibility for government subsidy for July 2019 semester. Submission after this deadline will be considered for the following semester. For more information on eligibility of the government subsidy, please refer to the FAQs available on our website. Revision on Rates of Fees during Your Studies Please note that the fees set out in the Proforma Invoice relate to the course fees and other fees payable by you in respect of all the courses to be taken by you in the semester stated. The fees are subject to revision from time to time as determined at the sole discretion of SUSS, and in accordance with the prevailing rates as published from time to time on our website. D. Deferment / Withdrawal / Transfer For newly enrolled students, if written notice of withdrawal or deferment is given within the cooling-off period, a full refund of the fees paid less $117.70 (inclusive of GST) administrative charge will be given. No refund will be given for withdrawal or deferment thereafter. The cooling-off period is defined as 7 working days after payment of the fees for the first semester of your admissions to SUSS. Appeals for transfer of programme are to be submitted to SUSS before you commence the online AOO and by 22 May 2019. Approval for transfer is at the sole discretion of SUSS and submission after this deadline will not be considered. E. Period of Candidature For undergraduate programmes, the maximum period of candidature is eight (8) years. Students admitted to the July 2019 intake must complete their degree programme by June 2027. F. Course Registration You may register up to 20 credit unit (cu) of courses and 10 cu of SUSS Core courses in a semester. However, we strongly encourage you to spread out your SUSS Core courses and complete them over the first few semesters of your studies. Generally, our students find it challenging to achieve and maintain an acceptable cumulative grade point average if they take maximum study load. It is thus advisable for you to plan your study load and register for the number of courses that you would be able to cope. The curriculum plan available on our website, www.suss.edu.sg, “Part-time Undergraduate” -> “View all Part-time Programmes” -> select the programme applied, will help you in your course selection planning. As our courses have quota limits, to avoid disappointment in securing courses of your choice, please confirm your course registration and make fee payment promptly. Changes to course registration are not allowed after fee payment.

G. Student Card You will be issued a SUSS student photo card upon your enrolment as a student. All SUSS students must have a valid student card when taking the examinations. H. MyMail Email Account and Student Portal You will receive via email, a personalised SUSS email account (MyMail) and password within 5 working days after your fee payment. We advise you to regularly login, (using your MyMail account) to the Student Portal to check out for information pertaining to your study, e.g. class schedules, pre-class quiz, lecture notes, etc. All correspondences with SUSS must be sent to SUSS via your MyMail email account. We will advise you on the support available and help you participate in your studies as fully as your circumstances and our support allow.
