1. Write external and internal criticisms regarding the Raiders of the Sulu Sea and A Legacy of Heroes: The Story of Bataan and Corregidor. Raiders of the Sulu Sea External Criticism Raiders of the Sulu Sea was published by Icelle Gloria D. Borja with contributions from Dr. Samuel Tan, Margarita Cojuangco, and other International Asian Historians. Icelle Borja is the chancellor. Mindanao Association of Museums: executive council member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). She was a real Filipina painter and sculptor and one of Zamboanga City's premier artists. She has conducted detailed studies on Zamboanga's arts and culture. Mirrors of Our Past: The Liberation of Zamboanga and Our Heroes Part 1 and Part 2, Trees and Tell, Dia de Zamboanga, Flores de Mayo, A Great Malayan, and several others are among her films. Dr. Samuel Tan is the author of "A History of the Philippines," and Margarita Cojuangco is a columnist and philanthropist who penned "Kris of Valor." Idzwan Othman directed the documentary video. I would claim that it was a genuine work and not a forgery because it was an actual film with material from it that was used in history books and textbooks. This is considered a secondary source since it was not produced at the time that the events occurred. The chain of events is subtly deceptive, but it all works out in the end. The narrative is somewhat ambiguous due to the narrator's accent, but it was descriptive and enlightening. It was meant for audiences who are fluent in the English language to watch. Internal Criticism The film is very well-made, as its primary goal is to teach and enlighten. One of the film's key arguments is that we were raided by our fellow Filipinos. The true purpose of these raiders in starting a war is to fight for their rights and to protect Islam's colony. Any history books and what our teachers tell us in school are vastly different from the narrative of this. We are fed with the idea that invaders will still be “foreign people,” so it is a good thing that the documentary addressed this issue. The film also depicted how, after the bombing of Balangingi, a feeling of hopelessness started to emerge in the minds of Muslims. After seeing pieces of evidence in an archaeological excavation in Butuan, the film attempted to clarify how raiders lived at the time and what their activities were.

A Legacy of Heroes: The Story of Bataan and Corregidor External Criticism The Department of National Defense of the Philippines and the Philippines Veterans Affairs Office collaborated on the documentary film A Legacy of Heroes: The Story of Bataan and Corregidor. Since these are Philippine government offices, they are thought to be authentic and sincere. I would assume that the documentary is not biased in terms of narration and each character has a flaw in the plot and the chain of events is well structured and stressed. This is a secondary source since it was not produced within the specified time frame. Since the medium used in narrating is English, it is not ideal for those who are unable to understand it to watch.

Internal Criticism The film is very lengthy, but it is appropriate given how much it explains on what happened after the collapse of Bataan and Corregidor. Filipinos and Americans were subjected to physical torture and suffered greatly at the hands of the Japanese Empire. Any of those who saw the incident firsthand were interviewed for the documentary. It also goes to show that everything was real and founded on facts. The film was created to remind Filipinos of how people at the time fought for the country and demonstrated heroism amid the fact that they were subjected to a cruel and inhuman journey that ended in death. Patriotism was implied in the film, which led me to believe that the filmmakers were subtly reminding audiences that this significant event in Philippine history could not be ignored. 2. Give at least 3 reasons why the artworks of Luna and Amorsolo are important in Philippine History. 1. The stories and illustrations they represent aided in shaping the nation's perspectives. They represent what they really witnessed because they are both mindful of Philippine literature, history, and significant events that occurred during their period. 2. Any of the drawings are very vivid and bleak, prompting audiences to ponder what they really intended. It conveys a powerful message about the events that shaped the nation into what it is today. 3. The artworks give a detailed look into the artist's view on a particular historical incident....
